as i look at this pic, i'm amazed at how much has been removed from our backyard. i don't think anyone you can really understand the enormity of the task that was undertaken unless you actually came over and saw it. pictures just don't quite capture it.
Having had a single tree fall in my back yard a couple of years ago, and being amazed at how dense they are, wide and massive above the ground, which you really don't think about when you are walking underneath them, I can imagine what it must have looked and felt like.
