Sweet Lindsay

When we put Lindsay in bed last night she said "I'm not going to wake you up tonight!" She had gotten up the night before and come to our room. She doesn't do this very often but when she does, we often have a hard time getting back to sleep.

She did wake up during the night and came to our room. I helped her get a bed roll made on the floor next to me. In the morning as I got ready for work, I noticed Lindsay had some "dirt" on her shirt. Alittle later Lindsay said "I threw up last night." I had NO idea! I went to her room and there was a little "specimen" on her sheets and comforter. She managed not to get any on the carpet! She cleaned up her mess in the bathroom---by herself! Can you believe it? She is only 3 years old. All because she didn't want to wake me up. Poor baby! I felt terrible. She is an awesome little girl!

On another note: Those of you out there who are prayer warriors we really do need your prayers right now. Evan has gone 13 days without a seizure and for that we are thankful but he has become SO combative. He has been yelling, squealing, and fighting which is so unlike him. Those of you who know him, know that he is so sweet and kind. When he finally comes out of it, he says he hates the way he acts during those times but can't control it. He also says he doesn't like himself. He can be completely in control at other times. I am not sure if the medicine is affecting him this way or if it is a discipline issue. We deeply desire wisdom in dealing with this situation. (Should we change meds even though the seizures appear to be in control?) We could also use an extra dose of patience.

Wow! This parenting thing is not easy. Someone should warn you about these challenges before you have these little munchkins! God is so good to mix these challenging times with other times of great joy!

Parenting three self-confident, responsible children... No, it isn't easy and life sure does throw you some curve balls at times. It will only get more and more interesting. BUT, what in the world would we do without this wonderful thing called family???!!!
